Alexis Amore was born in Lima, Peru and moved to Redondo Beach, California when she was nine years old. There I spent most of my life until I started High School. When I was 15 years old I began to model for Nordstrom.

 I did a lot of print work such as magazines and flyers. This was really inspiring to me pushing me towards a career I enjoyed and wanted to pursue. I felt really comfortable around cameras and loved the attention I attracted. What pushed me towards the industry was the day when I went for an audition. The agent highly suggested that I should work for Playboy. I gave it a shot and turned out to be a model for Playboy TV. While working on Playboy's Nightcalls, I interviewed Jewel DeNyle and Alexa Rae about the pornographic industry. Comforted by their replies and wanting to experience it for myself, I contacted Vivid Entertainment and was hired for my first film (The Watcher 6) two days later in November 1999. Since then, I have continued starring in adult films and in numerous adult magazines. In February 2003, I signed exclusively with Jill Kelly Productions (JKP) and began in February 2004 I left JKP. Currently, I’m a contract girl for Video Team and have a new sex toys contract with California Exotic Novelties I also infrequently write for AVN Insider while tackling my career.
